As the world is celebrating the Three days Long Festival Eid-ul-Futr marking the end of Ramadan. The month long Fasting is believed to be holy and sacred month for the Muslim community which comes second largest population around the world making up about the 24 percent of the world Population.
As our country has always been in the news for intolerance, Riots, lynching and communal tension but the festival of Eid (Peace) is said to be a festival of communal Harmony, Brotherhood and prosperity and togetherness. The example of communal harmoney was seen in Nashik District’s Malegaon when the believers throng to Malegaon Lashkar wali Eid Gah to perform Namaz-Eid Ul Futr (Eid Prayer) which comes as a reward after fasting whole month.
Lashkar Wali Eid Gah comes in the western part of the city which is basically knwon as Non Muslim population areas. The City has been devided into two parts, Western where Hindus reside and Eastern where Muslim community reside. But, the city has always shown the message of prosperity, brothehood and communal harmony when the times come. Whenever Muslims around the city has to offer Eid Prayers they have to cross the Mausam River to perform Eid-ul-Fitr.
Hindus Serve Cool Drinking Water to Muslims in Malegaon
When People gathered to obey the Order of almighty Allah to perform Eid Prayer in Malegaon, non-Muslim community comes out on road and extended their helping hands by serving cool drinking water, and water for Wazu when they are in need to get it done.
The Malegaon City used to known as the city Where Bomb Blast happened and riot takes place but city has now turned out to be a peace and calm city around the states where every religious people reside. As the time passes the city has changed its image and washed the stain of being knows as the city of Blast. Now, once again the city has come out with spectacular message of togetherness and communal harmony as the Muslim Community Member made Wazu in temple which is mandatory before performing any Namaz.
Shri Gurudatt Mandir which is located adjacent to Old Tehsidar Office infront of Malegaon session Court opened the door for Muslims to make wazu for Eid Prayer.
When Times Trends Journalist asked the reason behind this noble work one of the Shri Gurudatt Mandir member said, “We have been doing this work for many years, it’s a good job and good deeds should be extensed beyond religion.”
When we asked the member who were offering cool drinking water at Ekatmata Chowk he said in the condition of anonymity, “keeping an eye the sunny morning and temperature the city has been facing from April 2018, we decided to install a Pendal to serve atleast cool drinking water to make people comfortable.”
